1995 - 2021 - Lecturer, Supervisor and Academic Colleague

Created by Christopher 2 years ago

I first met Ross in 1995 on my MSc Marketing Management course at Middlesex University Business School, he introduced me to marketing.  His enthusiasm for the subject brought the whole thing to life for me.  It was because of Ross that I enrolled for a Doctorate at MUBS, and asked him to be my supervisor.  Ross convinced me of the value of presenting papers at research conferences, and we presented a joint paper at the IMP conference in Dublin, that was in 1999.  He stayed my doctoral supervisor to the very end 2006, and he was the perfect mentor.  It took me a while but finally with the help of another colleague here at the University of Hertfordshire we convinced Ross to apply for a Professorship here at HBS.  I have worked with Ross a number of times on modules and enjoyed every moment.  I was a regular visitor to his office to chat about his passion for walking and mine for motorcycling.  I will miss our chats, and his mentoring of my early years of research.

Thanks Christopher
